Whenever my friends or anyone that i know go on a hike or somewhere in the nature even when they get sprayed alot with bug spray they still get at least a few bites, i have never used bug spray in my life and i never ever got bitten, the last time i got bitten by a bug or mosquito was 6 months ago until that time i never got bitten by a mosquito for at least 5 years maybe a little less but i never had more than two mosquito bites and i got out in the nature alot.
Why don't i get bitten like anyone else would.

There's a study that's been done on mosquitoes where they are attracted to a certain type of scent that your body emits. You just have distinct scent that they insect aren't attracted to.

So basically your friends to mosquitoes smell like fried chicken while you don't.

As I understand it, mosquitoes are lured by the carbon dioxide we breathe out and by certain other factors like dark colors and other aromas.

You certainly breathe out carbon dioxide.

We all have distinctive chemical signatures which is why a bloodhound can follow a person's scent. Perhaps your chemical signature is not one that mosquitoes like. I wish I had a little of that. I am the mosquitoes' favorite meal in any crowd or situation.

we release chemical 'smells'..pheromones if you will, for lack of a better word. Mosquitoes are attracted to certain ppl's 'scent' and repelled by others.

Sweating makes us 'smell' more (both to ppl and mosquitoes haha), wearing dark clothes also attract mosquitoes..also if you consume garlic, your smell will repel mosquitoes as well (NO this is NOT some vampire myth..thankyouverymuch =p )

So..maybe your natural 'smell' is repellant to mosquitoes..or your friends like to wear dark clothes, or you eat a lot of garlic.

Hmm, well mosquito's go more for people who are sweating, due to the salt they sweat out. So perhaps you don't sweat as much, and your friends do, and the spray wasn't applied everywhere? That is my guess.
