Most wars start because of economics. It would be really helpful if you could narrow it down a bit. The 1st wars I can think of were the invasions of Ramses the 1st. Now there is war in Irak. In between those are more than 4000 years of struggle and wars on every continent (except for Antarctica), so which particular war are you talking of?
