E.

Themselves.

The Palestinian people have demonstrated that they are neither willing or able to act as a democracy at this time.

Fatah is corrupt and will not relinquish power, Hamas has shown it will use violence against its own to gain what it wants. And Israel and the US only only instigate and inflame it.

but at the end of the day democracy is the will of the people. Democracies fail and succeed because the people wish it to be so. If democracy succeeds or fails all the responsibility will lie in its citizens.

Hamas.

Fatah wanted peace talks with Israel, and Israel was very hopeful that they could make some real progress. Then the Palestinians elected Hamas, and Hamas went beserk, as we all saw on the news, beheading their rivals in Fatah.

Hamas has always refused to recognised Israel's right to exist, which makes it impossible for any progress towards peace.

US because they did not accept a democratically elected government .Hamas won a election fairly .US could have worked with Hamas and got some concessions and then work for peace in the Middle East.

Man, you could probably pick all of them. But I pick Hamas. Odd choice though because they once got elected democratically.
