Shaq because of the inside power.....he isn't chasing Boykins and Earl has to hit the J's to stay in the game. Way back in the day - I think early 1970s - the NBA and ABC Sports had a one-on-one tournament that was taped in the off-season and aired during nationally-televised games. They should do that now.

I've seen a similar scenario, but it was Shaq at the Magic vs. Mugsy Bouges and the Hornets. Shaq was the fast break (pretending like he was pointguard), the Hornets' sloppy defense brought forth Mugsy as their last line of defense! Imagine it was like a giant vs. a boy. Naturally (as Mugsy wouln't have endured if he was crushed) Mugsy just stood aside and let Shaq for an easy dunk. Shaq in all fairness even if he is older and slower is too much a match for Earl Boykins.

earl boykins would win...y?
he will be shooting 3 pointers and force shaq out of the paint...on the perimeter,he will then play shaq like a clown( no kick ) hes too quick for shaq... and blow pass him for the easy layup...
shaq on offense will try to bulldoze his way in...OFFENSIVE FOUL!!!... Or he will face his back on boykins and slowly "eat" his way through...but everyone knows Shaq is not the best of dribblers...he might get some shot in that way but, boykins gonna see the chance and steal Shaq's ball whenever he has the opportunity...

Shaq would need to hussle back on defense. If he gets in the key, Earl has no shot (literally, they'd all get blocked). But Earl can score in bunches, and has a 3 point shot. He could tire Shaq out eventually too. Shaq would probably win, but don't thinkit'd be a land slide.

Shaq... Though Boykins is so quick, Shaq can just stand there near the post and boykins will be force to shoot farther from the ring, that gives him a low percentage shot...

that's a toughie.....Um I'd love for it to be Boykins! that's my dude right there, but Shaq is a big dude. Meh Boykins could prolly beat shaq just because he's faster and can get around him but a point gaurd vs a center....c'mon now be realistic. One on One games wouldn't be set like that

earl boykins -- he will shoot threes and shaq is too fat to follow the little monkey around
now in a matchup between Yao and Earl well Earl is screwed, Yao is exactly 2.1 feet taller, so he will block every shot that earl tries to make and he is fast and skinny enough to follow lil bug around
