They do, they slide going around corners, but they have soft sticky rubber tires and can manoeuvre without spinning.

They drive slowly so they can do their job and they are heavy. I saw one slip once and if the driver didn't get fired it was the next thing to it.

I guess they're too scared all they're equipment might get tangled up while they skate, and maybe they're electronic equipment might get short-circuited.
