jason kidd. at age 34....check this out:
the second player in NBA history to average a triple-double for an entire postseason. Kidd finished with averages of 14.6 points, 10.9 rebounds and 10.9 assists in 12 games during the 2007 NBA playoffs.

imo, gilbert arenas is more of a shoot-first, pass-second guard, so my vote goes to Jason Kidd, the best point guard of this decade (00s) after john stockton (90s), magic johnson (80s), pete maravich (70s), oscar robertson (60s), bob cousy (50s) and bob davies (40s).

as for steve nash, jason kidd is not done yet to pass the torch of the best pg.

Jason Kidd, with an honorable mention toward Gilbert Arenas. Kidd is a pure point guard, and arguably the best in the league, not just the eastern conference. Arenas is more of a shooter, and I'd say he is the better player, but not better at playing point guard.

PS Dwayne Wade is not a point guard

Gilbert Arena is a good scorer.
Jason Kidd is a double-triple contributor.
So I'd say Jason Kidd.

Here are the statistics(official) last season:
Kidd Arenas
Points per game: 13.0 28.4
Rebound Per Game: 8.2 4.6
Assists per game: 9.2 6.0
Steals per game: 1.6 1.9
Blocks Per Game: 0.3 0.2
FG% 0.406 0.418
FT% 0.778 0.844
3P% 0.343 0.351
Minutes Per Game 36.7 39.8

Overall=(points+assists+rebounds+steals+blocks)/minutes

Kidd: 0.8801 / minute
Arenas: 1.0327 / minute

Well, statistically, Arenas got a better rate than Kidd... But i still think Kidd is the best in the East because with his age, he can still do things right...

Jason Kidd. The true embodiement of a true blue 'Point Guard".

Nothing against Arenas, but I still have to give it to Jason Kidd. He's lost a little bit but still gets it done most nights. He's the best probably for at least one more year.

Jason Kidd. People say he's the modern Big-O (Oscar Robertson)
