Good morning Silly Rabbit....Yes..I have to say for myself that shopping at a "Dollar Store" helps me budget accordingly each week. The Dollar Store has some great buys and popular brands. When I purchase items I look at the cost and the quantity for the price. A lot of my cleaning supplies and toiletries are bought at the Dollar Store. I don't purchase groceries too much except maybe for the juices and soda and the spices but other items I do buy because of the good price and merchandise that the Dollar store carries. Have a great day!

I guess it really depends on the products you're buying. I shop at the dollar store sometimes to save a little money on things like shampoo, deoderant, etc. If I can pick up some old spice for a buck or so cheaper, that's cool with me.

It depends on what you're buying. Some items you could find elsewhere for cheaper than a dollar. So just as long as you keep that in mind, then you can have a successful shopping experience.

I usually go there when they have holiday items out. You can find some good deals.

The dollar store is good for buying odds and ends such as greeting cards (two for a dollar), disposable aluminum pans, balloons, party decorations, favors, books, junk toys for kids, etc.

I could easily spend $10 on miscellaneous items but for some things such as make up and cleaning products, the quality is poor.

Well, it depends on what you buy there. If you're buying something like food or something sold elsewhere for a lot more then yes that's smart, frugal shopping. If you're buying something cheap that will break probably, then you're better off investing more for something reliable.

Nothing that I would eat or drink. But things like wrapping paper, brooms, school supplies, Halloween costumes for kids, etc. .... those are worth the trip to a dollar store.
