One of the rods that connect to the handle on my tailgate has broke off the handle. Is there an easy fix for this? Or do I need to buy a new tailgate?

Eazy fix for any chevy service dept.The parts for the inside of the tailgate are replaceable.The tech will replace any broken parts and lube all other parts.Your tailgate will work like new again.Hope this helps.

It depends on where it broke, but ill bet 98% of your junk yards would sell you a new rod to replace the old one and its an easy fix, there is a little plastic peice that holds it to the handle you might have to get new from chevy but its cheeper then buying a new tailgate and having it painted

if it can be welded back together again then good.
