Religions are basically sets of beliefs, values, rules of behaviour that groups of people agree upon, mainly in relation to spiritual matters. Some people insist that a religion is not a religion unless the beliefs include the existence of God. This would exclude most forms of Buddhism, however.
The value of a good religion is that it can give you a safer starting point in terms of exploring your spirituality than trying to invent your own religion from scratch.

It is the belief of a group of people of some superpower called god. However, as of today, none are actually able to prove the existence of such a power. But the group believes in such a power though there is no proof. What the group lacks as evidence, it tries to cover up by smart trick or at worst threats, violence and terrorism.

different people may have different views about religion but it becomes very personal when u r going to redeem ur ownself. u start making ur own definations to meet ur desires.
otherwise religion draws the line between WHAT TO DO OR WHAT NOT TO DO.
