I'm a non-smoker. I don't think they should ban it, just.. tone it down. Restrict it in certain areas.

I'm a non-smoker and I was so happy when I heard about the public bans. Some places it doesn't even matter. I work at a hospital and the employees and patients have become creative in finding places to smoke. Some of the employees even leave while still on duty to smoke. I don't agree with that because it's bad patient care and putting patients in danger.

I'm non. And I think public smoking should be banned everywhere. I should have the right to walk down a street and not worry about inhaling someone else's smoke. I once had to freeze my *** off in the cold (-40 degrees C) because some ***** refused to leave the bus shelter and smoke outside (even though smoking inside was illegal). FTR, I am allergic to smoke and strive to stay as far away from it as possible.

Though both of my parents, my brother, and several friends smoke, I'm a non-smoker like you. People say it relieves stress, but in my opinion it only relieves stress if you get in the habit of smoking when you're stressed. I see smoking as a waste of money and an unnecessary abuse of your lungs. I'm not completely against smoking, but its just not for me. As for the bans, I'm not against them. Secondhand smoke is actually more potent than mainstream smoke because it doesnt move through the filter...so its pretty dangerous. Wow, this was a long answer =]

I smoke. I personally know someone who if they even walk through a cloud of ciggarette smoke it could bring on serious medical issues. So I agree with the ban as long as it doesn't come down to not being able to smoke on my back porch.

i'm a non smoker with asthma and i am 100% pro smoking ban. smoking is a bad habbit worse than the others because if you drink too much or if you eat too much, that doenst affect the person next to you. down with second hand smoke and up with smoking ban. go mayor dave ciezslevich who banned it in my city a few years ago!

I wish they would ban it here. It stinks and it's unhealthy. Go home and smoke if you want cancer, because I don't.

I think it's actually rude to smoke in a restaurant. Everyone I see that does it, just sits around and talks, not even eating or anything... just taking up table room making hungry people wait.
