Have you met him? How do you know he is a decent person/spirit? Make your own decisions in life don't leave it up to a book that was wrote 2000 years ago or a Carpenter that lived 2000 years ago. You will only be disappointed in the end.

No need - we are cooler than he is anyway.

Humanity's strength is that it is always growing and getting better and better. We are in a constant struggle to become a better version of ourselves, which is the essence of life. God is perfect, therefore he cannot get any better. So by being imperfect, we are better than God.

If god created me specifically so that I would worship him and do what he wants, then he doesn't deserve to be worshiped. Try and imagine a man that would create a world full of people, expect them to do everything he wants based completely on faith, and then send them to be tortured in a fiery pit if they don't. If he gave me the ability to disobey him, he cannot punish me if I do.
