During the school year I supported our troops through my sons school. They were always having fund raisers and such. Now that school is out I want to do something,so I was wondering what you do,do you have any ideas or just want to say something?

One of the reasons I am so proud to be an American is that I live among such brave men and women. Thanks to you and your families for your continued courage.

You can register with AnySoldier.com--it is a great site that wonderful supporters such as yourself can register with and they put you in contact with deployed soldiers. One of the guys in my tent (I am deployed in Afghanistan) is our sponsor, so to speak, and he receives packages from caring people back in the states containing great items that we can all use that he passes out to us (i.e. toorhbrushes, razors, socks, pre-paid calling cards...) It is a wonderful organization.

I support them through prayer and saying thank you whenever I see a soldier/veteran in person. I also hang my flag proudly - I think it's a disgrace that I only saw 5 flags in my entire neighborhood on the 4th of July.
