How much money should a company budget for computer training. We're a small office with six people, but whenever we have turnover, new people don't understand how to enter data into our software system. I know others have this problem, too. Should we have a budget? How much should it be? Should it be a percent or based on the number of employees? Please help.

Budget about 5% per employee. Then, actually try to get some in-house classes offered. They can be for beginners and intermediate level so your current employees can continue to improve their computer skills.

is it a specific type of software? Contact that company and see if they have any training manuals you could buy. If turnover is a problem, you should probably budget for training

You should budget approximately 2 months salary. If they arent looking like they will pick up on it by then, then you should let them go...
