but I don't think he is all that funny. Entertaining, but not funny really. Again, I never miss him when I know he's going to be on TV. I hang on his every word and I really like his act. But is it funny? Sort of. To me he is highly entertaining and somewhat amusing.

The stuff he rants about is true. And I agree with it. And it's entertaining, as i've said now about 10 times. But sometimes they pan the audience and people are like rolling in the aisles, and I'm sort of smiling. Maybe there is something I'm missing.
Once again, I am not being ANTI- Lewis Black. I love the guy.

I can't watch him without wondering what part of his act he stole/bought. I've seen a comic named Jake Johansen do a big chunk of Black's recent HBO act, on comedy central from a number of years ago. So now even though he is funny, I keep wondering "did he write that?"

I can really see what youre saying! Im a fan too but I think what makes him so funny (to me anyway) is how angry he gets! It makes me laugh how he stutters and how passionate he becomes over whatever he is talking about.
