But now I feel that I could go for a week!!!!Is this oksy to do it once and a while to take the pressure off until I can stop completly ?

Also please no " why stop it's healthy answers " I'm a christian and that should say why I want to stop.

There's an old saying: "Old habits are hard to break."
That's very true. And although when it comes to things
like alcoholism or smoking, "cold turnkey" is often the
best method for quitting, masturbation--which is learned
rather than just an addiction--must be eased out of.
If you want to stop, all right. But there's no need to go
crazy trying. The way to do it: gradual reduction.
Set up a time table for yourself. Stop doing it for one
week. Then, after you've gone that far, you're not going
to be likely to miss it quite as much; you might miss
it enough to do it once, but any sense of satisfaction
you once got from it will be considerably less.
That's a good sign. Tell yourself that there're so many
other things to do that are so much more productive.
Infinitely more productive! Study the Bible in all the
various ways that you can. Keeping a diary would be
a great idea! Writing is, after all, therapeutic.
Then refrain for two weeks. Three weeks. Four weeks.
A month. (All the while, making the most of your time
that you possibly can; masturbation can often become
a habit because of simple boredom.)
Almost before you know it, you won't be giving that
ex-habit of yours a 2nd thought!

Good luck.

Masturbation in and of itself is not a sin.

It can become a sin in two ways. One, if it becomes a compulsive or obsessive behavior where you can't really control your urges. And two, if you are using lustful thoughts, porn, etc, as a vehicle for your masturbation, as you kind of eluded to earlier.

I'm no counselor, but the best advice I can give you is to talk to someone about this. Pray. Find healthy activities to do. Work on one day at a time. I really admire you for admitting there is something wrong with you and that you are trying to stop.

Masturbation is a part of growing up, you're feeling these kinds of feelings because of your hormones and there's actually no way to avoid doing this, it's only normal for people to do this, girls are different because they don't know what it's like to have an erection, and their level of self control is much more higher than guys, it's a sin alright because of the lust factor, but human beings are not perfect, if you really want to stop this, you should consult a medical specialist.

Well, i guess if you really want to stop, i would think it's okay to do it once in a while until you're weened off.

In the bible, Onan's sin was not masturbation. Everyone thinks it was, but it really isn't. Yet Christianity still believes it's a sin.

I don't believe it, but you do.

The bible is so vague you can pretty much use it for any point you want to make, you just have to find the right passage

Really, it's up to you and your morals. If you think it's okay to sort of ween yourself off instead of going "cold turkey" so to speak, then it's okay. If you think it's immoral and a sin, then it isn't. It's up to your beliefs and your faith.

Try reading "Kosher sex." It's by a rabbi, but it has a whole section on this. But who told you it's a sin? The "Sin of Onan" wasn't masturbation, it was that he wouldn't father a child by his late brother's wife.
