Well while I was being born the doctor tried to get my mother to abort!
On my second birthday my dad took me to the ocean I was found drifting on a turtles back 2 weeks later!
My 5th birthday was super mom n dad got me my first science kit gunpowder,gasoline and matches!
Oh yeah my 10th was the bomb dad took me scuba diving for the first time a pair of hand cuffs a chain and a cement block! He said it will help me to learn to hold my breath!
Sweet 16 I got my first car but for some reason I got to drive solo and the brakes went out!
The ole 18th was wild I went to work and came home but mom n dad had moved when I found them dad said sorry but his new job took them away!
Well yes I havent even gotten to my 20's yet and I am 45 now!

I think the road has been pretty bumpy for me, and I think all of us believe ourselves to be a tortured soul - at least from time to time. The fact is, everyone has their story, you know? You never know what other people have gone through, even when you think you know them. And the word 'soul' implies a spiritual side of suffering, and in that sense I think every human has a tortured soul, because he/she longs for God, even when they don't know it.

I am considered a tortured soul on a road that few people in my life could have survived. It makes me smile that they feel that way. Sometimes I can't believe where I've been, what I've seen, or how I ever endured it. I'm thankful for who it has made me.

~The road I have traveled has generally been the result of my own choices -- both good ones and bad ones. Sometimes it's been great. Other times it sucked.
There is no way for me to judge the "bumps" in my road with anyone else's. I didn't live theirs and they didn't live mine. So, it's impossible to compare.
Am I a "tortured soul"? Never! I'm a survivor. Even in my lowest moments, I always knew it was temporary. Just as I knew that my highest moments were also temporary. It's the times in between, I believe, that make or break us.
