OHHHH My favorite subject ! No, no one WILL or CAN compare to the Beatles. It was time, place and circumstance in music and society. Will never be the same.

My personal favorite band is Led Zeppelin, and as innovative as they were, Dream Theater is hands down the most technically proficient band on the planet. Mike Portnoy - Epic Drum player (probably the best) John Petrucci - Awesome shredder with good rhythm and soloing capabilities John Myung - Although it's hard for the average ear to pick the best bassist, most musically trained people will agree that he is right up there with the best Jordan Rudess - He is the mastermind behind Dream Theater who really bring everything together. He is a virtuosso with anything keyboard, be it piano or synthesizer or whatever Combine all that with great songwriting and a fantastic singer, James LeBrie, and you have one hell of a band.

OMG, people, give it up! I like the Beatles too, but they are not the most talented or greatest singing band ever! There are many great singers, songwriters and musically gifted artists out there. They haven't been a band for 37 years ok???? Time to move on now...........

The Beatles were popular because everyone was ready for a big movement. When we hit another one of those there may just be another "Beatles" type thing.

that honestly is the stupidest question considering that the world will probably end in the next 50 years and the beatles were and always will be the best band of all time

Yeah, Ozzy. Much better, way more talented, competely epic, skilled, everything. There are a few select songs by The Beatles that I love and adore, but any and every song off any of Ozzy's albums, during or not during his time with Black Sabbath, I love.

He's all I listen to. I wear stuff that sports his name so everyone knows how much I love him, and if for the rest of my life I could only listen to Ozzy, I wouldn't think twice about saying 'Okay!'

Seems unlikely that a band could achieve BOTH of those.
