what is a league for pogo and how does it work?

i am a club pogo member and i seen something about leagues how does it work and what are the benifits from joining one?

leagues are just fan groups that usually operate on Cases ladder or my ladder. Some leagues are nice well established ones and others just go nowhere and dissolve quickly. If there is a particular game you enjoy and you see someone running a tourney in the game room you can ask them for more information about their league. Most tourney directors will be more than happy to help you thru the sign up procedure for their league.
