It is neither against the law, or required by law to have cameras in the clothing stores. It would be illegal to have the cameras focused where a person has the reasonable expectation of privacy, like in the actual change rooms, or in a toilet stall. But not in the areas around them.
Where they are, there must be signage stating that fact.

No it's not against the law depending where they are situated but it would be better to have the tape in for safety against thieves and child grabbers.

Against the law only if in the changing rooms without notifications posted. Otherwise - big brother is always watching.

its against the law if they dont tell you. Ive been in dressing rooms where there is a sign stating that you are on camera......and I leave.

it is illegal in all states to have video cameras and tapes in changing rooms. it is not illegal to video tape people entering or leaving changing rooms.
