After Robespierre went to the guillotine the "Reign of Terror"
phase of the French Revolution was over. He had previously sent Danton and other leaders to their deaths. This was followed by the "Directory", a more moderate but corrupt phase of the French Revolution. It lasted until it was overthrown by Napoleon in a "coup de' etat on November 9, 1799. He established a three-member Consulate with himself as first counsul. I hope that this has been a help to you.

The Revolution died with Robespierre, face-up on a guillotine. He had no Revolutionary successor, although, if it had still gone on, I would think he would have been succeeded by (if everything had gone according to plan), Jean-Paul Marat or Georges Danton.
