1. Where A and B are legs of a right triangle, and C is the hypotenuse (longest side), the "Pythagorean Theorem" states that A^2 + B^2 = C^2

So in this case, plug in A= 5 and B=2
to get
5^2 + 2^2 = C^2
25 + 4 = C^2
C = square root of 29

2. In all triangles, the three angles add up to 180 degrees.
In an Isoceles triangle, the two base angles are congruent, or equal in measure.
So if the Base Angle = 50, the other is also 50.
180 - 100 leaves 80 degrees for the Vertex Angle (between the two equal Base Angles).

1. Imagine a triangle. The longest side is called the hypotenuse. The other 2 sides squared and added together = the hypotenuse squared:
a squared + b squared = c squared, where c is the hypotenuse.
