CALL THE COPS! CALL 911.
But let me give you some good advice!
Don't call from your cell or house phone!
Don't give the 911 operator your name under any circumstances!
Don't tell anyone you called that might tell your neighbors!
Do go to the nearest pay phone and call from there!
Do call every time they fight!
Since the telephone number, address and name of the reporting party is recorded on the dispatcher's logs, many of which are available on-line and all of which are available to anyone who goes down to the records department and requests to see "hard copies" of the logs, they can find out it was you who called if you don't follow my advice. You will really create big problems for yourself if you don't take my advice!!!

Yeah. Just before the cops arrived, he shot her in the head, and turned the gun on himself on the front porch of their house while the entire neighborhood watched in horror. It was a nice, upper middle class neighborhood, and most the neighbors were great, but he was an alcoholic, and he was angry that she hadn't bought his "weekend" beer before coming home from work Friday night. Needless to say, we put our house on the market the next week, and moved the minute it sold.
My advice: Just call the cops, and know that you've done the right thing. Don't try stepping in the middle of it, because a third person interfering could be a third person dead.

Nope, never. My parents called the cops on them one time when they were having a party and had their radio turned up loud at like midnight during the week. But those neighbors don't live there anymore...

the last time i intervened in a husband/wife fight, i got punched in the face for my effort, and ended up calling the police in afterward.
it's best to simply and anonymously call in, and not get yourself involved.
and dear, i grew up that way too, so i respect your empathy and caring nature!

I think that it's good that you call. This kind of fighting can not be good for the child.

I never have, but there's nothing wrong in getting involved if there's a child's safety at risk.
