Truth is relative and usually subjective, rarely absolute or objective.
Some facts may be objective, but facts and truth have a dubious relationship at best, given how often people arrive at truth through faith and arbitrary decision.

First off, most of us don't give a hoot about the attorney firings since it is Presidential prerogative. Asking about truth in the political forum is absurd. Want to know about the price of oil, go read the GAO report. Perhaps the fact that the price of oil is $72.00 a barrel has some minor impact on the price. UFO's are at the bottom of my list of concerns. The Iraq war near the top.

There are truths if we accept them without first passing them through our political, religious and any other filter first.
The facts tell us what is real, but of course the facts are distorted to serve some agenda of some special interest.
Take the Media (all of them left and right) reporting of Insurgent Attacks in the past month. They all have now begun referring to the attackers as Al-Quaeda regardless of whether or not they are actually Sunni or Shiite militias.
Why is this troublesome?? It's troublesome because it not proven fact that any of the insurgents are actually Al-Quaeda. It's more troubling because it feeds a truth that the government of this country is desperate to feed the American People which is that Iraq is and has been allied with Al-Quaeda and ultimately participated in the 9/11 attacks.
And even though we know or think we know that the attackers were Egyptian and Saudi Arabian...slowly but surely the government is creating a truth that many Americans already believe and continue to support a war that will haunt this nation's future for decades to come.
What do you believe as truth....

Yes, I do believe there is Truth to ALL things. Things get distorted by people because of there own egos and what they wish to be "true". I , however, believe that when we die , we will realize where we have distorted the " truth " for our own agendas. That is where, to me, GOD knows what is in our hearts. It is our journey on this earth to find our truth. It is like -did you give someone something because you felt like being giving and gracious with no desired outcome, or did you give because there was a hidden agenda that would get you something in return or gain you favor? The ulterior motives will always be found out in the end if one does not recognize it at the time. To understand the Truth for yourself, I believe you have to be very connected to your intuition and heart.

Truth depends on your perception. Someone who has "seen" a UFO will insist it is truth until they die because of what they believe. Truth is a measure of perception and perception is relative.

i sometimes think the only truth to be found relates to what you can hold in your hand...that is truth only can be found in material things. everything else is up for perception or understanding. and the finer you define the concept of truth the harder it is find examples.

Truth exist, we just seem to have lost the ability to recognize it (or the will to recognize it).
