What to do with a Huffy 12" bike with a flat tire..?

My daughter has a 12" Huffy Girl's bike. I noticed that the front tire is out of air. I got a footpump to pump some air in it, but I think there is a gap between the rim and the tire, leading air to go out. I am really confused - does it have a tube? do I have any option other than throwing this bike and getting a new one for her? Can I buy the tire or the wheel somewhere else?

Yes, most bike tires have tubes. Take the bike to your local bike shop for a repair if you do not know how to fix a flat.
