Check the steering dampener. A bad one can mimic worn ball joints.

Ball Joints on a boat? Never heard of such a thing. Ball Gears, swivel ends on linkage, etc.

Find out what the part is actually called and ask again.

Is that the Starcraft with the sport suspension, or the regular one?
