I'm in the same boat now honey! lol
My 'almost' 3 year old is sleeping soundly, as is my husband..and it's nearly 1am, and here I am on Yahoo! Answers because I'm sick and tired of tossing and turning. I think anxiety and my size have a lot to do with it. 37 weeks now, looking forward to having the baby now. Nervous about delivery..even though this is my second, and the first birth was pretty smooth.
I keep complaining about our mattress..lol, only two years old and in perfect condition :) I know it's just my size and the heat and the dreams and the worries..etc..etc..etc :)
My only advice it to lay down as much as you can daytime. Even if it's not sleep, get some rest. Also, try and get outside. When I have busy days outside with my son, or have a few errands to run..it makes me more sleepy nighttime.
Good luck, you only have another year or so without getting a good nights sleep, lol
Get used to it ;)
Wishing you a good nights sleep tonight.

I am the same way. My dr told me to take unisom and I did not bc I was worried about it. Then when I went back to see her she asked me about my sleeping and I told her I was worried about taking the pills. She assured me that they were fine and that she would never tell me they were safe while pregnant if not! So I bought some and they work pretty well. They do not knock me out but just make me very tired and fall alseep about an hour or two after I take them and then I sleep pretty restless through the night. And the best thing is when I wake up I am not moody or mean like most of those pills make you. My dr also told me it is actually worse for me and the baby to not get any sleep then it is to take the pills. She said I really need them bc I have to get some sleep.

I have the same problem so my doc gave me ambien. Its safe for us to take and it doesnt leave u drowsy all day,i have rls so its very hard for me to sleep but if u dont wanna go that route then have your man give u a nice long hot oil massage and drink a cup of hot cocoa, that helps me as well. Oh and try that sleepy time baby bath stuff by johnson and johnson, if u bath with your daughter then u both will get out relaxed and tired, its like drugging my 3 year old, that stuff really works!!!!

Lots of pillows, Unisom or Tyelonol PM (I have been told both are safe). Other than that just stay away from chocolate and caffine and late night exercising since these can all cause you to not feel tired.

i have had that problem myself, minus having the 2 year old at home. but i would take naps when the two year old takes naps, i wouldnt suggest tea, becasue it can cause contractions, but maybe some hot cocoa, a warm shower before bed with some lavender aroma therapy. ect. good luck
