This happened to a friend and I wonder how many other people have gone through something similar. After being married to her nearly a decade and fathering her child, he decided he was gay. I hold no judgment... I am only curious.

yes i did - we were both 19
when i went to college he was making promises of marriage to me and all that
then as soon as i was at college he sent me a 'dear john' letter - apparently he was carrying on with ANOTHER GUY all the time he was talking about marriage and children with me!
what a rat!
PLUS he still EXPECTED me to wait for him whilst he sowed his wild oats!
fat chance!
i ended up with a far nicer chap and am soon to celebrate 15 years marriage to him (and he definitely is NOT homosexual)
the thing to remember when having been through that is that as a woman if he is determined that he prefers guys that there was NOTHING you could have done to prevent that to stop him from straying - a lack of honesty on his part has caused a lot of pain for your friend and bought a child into the world (something i didn't have to go through) which could have been avoided had he been honest about his lack of felines for your friend

I was married to a teacher/preacher/counselor who, after he molested our two little boys and half the kids in our church, decided he wanted a divorce because "we'd married young and he just wanted to try something else for awhile." He was a no-good scumbag then and many years later he still wants to hit on guys. He threw away everything that should have been sacred to him and is a closet drunk and gay fool married to another woman who had TWO LITTLE BOYS when he married her. Does it get any lower than this?

I suggest you tell your friend to go get tested. I think she should not really care what he wants to be now. He was putting on a front, and probably having sex with men behind her back. I think she should go get tested immediately.

personally, no
a very close friend of mine did.
she loved him for 10 years.
she still loved him though he was gay.
when he lied about contracting HIV, and he ran off, that was it.
she was done being hurt.
she never fully recovered.
she's married, but doesn't love her hubby as much as she did this man.

no thank god, but i do know of someone after 2 kids came out and told everyone he was gay!

Never nagged and hen pecked anyone so much they turned homosexual.
But your friend pulled it off.
