It's called Drift Away and it was written by Mentor Williams and was recorded originally by Dobie Gray in 1972. There have been many great covers since - Three Men and a Tenor's version being one of my favorites.

The song "Drift Away" was originally sung by Dobie Gray but was also covered recently by Uncle Kracker.
It's a very mellow but awesome song.
