I think that people reading this name will not know which syllable to emphasize. Also, an 's' before an 'l' tends to be pronounced as a 'z', unlike the double 's' in Karissa. So it might not end up getting pronounced the way you want, which would be a shame. Maybe consider Karissa-Lyn instead. Probably no one would get that wrong.

I think its unique. Both Karissa and Kaitlyn are very nice names and blended together...I guess makes Karislyn nice and unique.
