He can speak some english, just the basic stuff so he can talk to players/press. It isn't his language though, he is from the Dominican Republic. He speaks spanish.

the two communicate English nicely. Ichiro will use an interpreter at situations through fact he does not intend to make a screw up on interpretation, for a number of the finer factors, yet he does communicate and understand English. Guerrero has no issues in any respect.

Yes, he prefers to speak his native tongue though. He is a lot more comfortable doing that and so he talks through an interpreter. Some latin players do not make for a good interview because of the accent so sometimes it is hard to totally understand them. He gets knocked for speaking through an interpreter but I think he is doing the right thing.

Most MLB players speak English to some degree, but the MLBPA encourages all players to speak in their native tongue when doing interviews.

They'll speak in what ever language they are most comfortable with.

Yes but the exposes always got him a translater so he has gotten use to them and uses them all the time now. But if you watch interviews he doesnt need the translater to translate what the reportes are asking he understands it.
