I'm thinking about doing an upgrade on my PC. I dont want to spend more then about 300 dollars. Again, I have an unmodified eMachines T3985, what components should I upgrade?

Almost without exception, you get the most bang for your buck by increasing RAM. Increasing memory is one of the least expensive upgrades with the greatest return in terms of improved computer performance. A 512 MB RAM module would probably cost you $75-90.

Other worthwhile upgrades include: upgrading to a better DVD drive (e.g. DVD/CD Combo drive to a DVD burner) or a better graphic card - especially if you use integrated graphics with shared memory.
