My friend invites me to run an IT Institute on share basis. I know its a good idea to earn money and make living. But I dont know What is a share? How much share(s) should I demand. Of courses all the initial investement are done by him. Actually it all belongs to him. I'm their to manage and run the Institute. Its been a year and it is doing good. So, about two weeks ago, he ask me how much shares, I will deman. So please help me How much should I ask out of 100%

A share is part ownership in the business. If, for example, the company authorized 100 shares of stock, 1 share is 1%. A caution here is that you will want to make sure you know just how many shares are authorized and that your percentage doesn't take a hit if they authorize more shares in the future.
