Assume that you have just finished high school and had the financial means to attend any university in the world, which school would you pick and why? I would pick the college that I really did attend; Knox College. It has a beautiful campus, outstanding faculty and staff, and has a real sense of community.

My choice would be mainly based on location and I would pick the University of Vermont in Burlington because this city has the best of both worlds...a beautiful country setting with mountain views, and a large city with plenty of shopping and dining.

Cambridge.
If I had to stay in the US, I would choose Duke (where I did some of my graduate work), Penn (where I once taught), MIT (where I once taught), Stanford or University of Chicago.
