what would you leave pats of butter about?

If it was a butter croissant. Then no butter and if I had to I will just use my sleeve.

Better question: If you found napkins with pats of butter, would you go back in time and leave yourself a buttered croissant.

Uh, I ALWAYS carry my own napkins and pats of butter just for this very situation.
