i do... because with real love comes great understanding and acceptance... acceptance of everything that you don't like in your partner because that is a part of the person you loved... and understanding of the reasons why they do what they do. that with love so great it would pain you to even just know that they are sorry for what could have possibly distressed or disappointed you because all you had ever wanted is to be the reason that gives light and happiness in their life, and never to darken it by feeling a bit negative, or for that matter to be even sorry... great love forgives by the way...

Not at all; rather, it is the opposite. Love and pride are two diametrically opposed qualities. A loving person minds not admitting a mistake.
It should be mentioned though that some people use this to harp upon a wrong done. In such cases, an automatic adjustment will occur where the "sorry" will not be used again except when sorry means excuse me.
The Bible has a very good lesson here:
Proverbs 17:9 The one covering over transgression is seeking love, and he that keeps talking about a matter is separating those familiar with one another.

NO. Love should inspire the thoughtfulness such as saying sorry as well as thank you etc. Never saying sorry would mean to me that there is no love or respect. Even strangers say sorry when there has been a wrong. This is a odd question in the sense that you may be involved with such a person, if so, are really happy and are you getting what you need and deserve?

More like the opposite is probably true.
That was just a BS line from a mediocre movie from the late 60's when we all thought we were experts on the topic of love but many of us were sadly mistaken.
That's why that kind of crap only happens in movies.
When you hurt people you love you MUST say you are sorry.

Ha, no. Love means always having to say your sorry and if you're a guy do it with jewelry and if you're a girl, do it with food. A way to a man's heart is through his stomach. A way to a woman's is a creature comfort to show off to all her girlfriends.

On the contrary, I think love means saying sorry frequently! We never want to intentionally hurt people that we love. If we hurt someone, is it not showing compassion by putting the other persons feeling in front of us as more important than our pride? Pride kills love. humility strengthens it.

It's a nice line. The idea, of course, is that if your truly love someone you trust that they are always acting from good intentions, and that if they make a mistake or hurt someone, it was unintentional. Seems like most successful relationships include a lot of apologizing.

No. We all make mistakes meaning theres going to be a time to apologize. Even if the other person already understands. Theres something about it that gives you some peace.
