No, you shouldn't have the next period. A period is the disposal of the unused egg and uterus lining, so if you were pregnant those 2 things wouldn't be unused. Also, a pregnancy is dated from your last period, so when you miss a period, you are 4 weeks along, although only 2 weeks past ovulation.

*At 2 weeks pregnant, you are not really pregnant, you are just ovulating. Once the egg gets fertilized it takes at least 6 days for it to travel to the uterus and implant. There is no way to know you are pregnant before implantation occurs, in fact, not all fertilized eggs implant succesfully. The earliest to know would be by a blood test the day of or the day after implantation when HCG begins to rise. It takes an additonal day or two to show in your urine.

I had unprotected sex 2 weeks before my next period (ovulation) and now I am 3 months pregnant!!! You are most likely to conceive those days so good luck to you if you are trying!!! And no, you won't get your period if your egg gets fertilized that night :)

if you conceive then you will not have a period. a small percentage of women experience implantation bleeding but it is NOT a period. the amount of blood will be less if you do experience it.
