If a girl is dating a boy, who is her sister-in-law's cousin.
is that illegal? to marry or date?
The girl's brother is married to a woman, who has a cousin.
Does that make it illegal for the girl and boy to date or perhaps marry him?

i've been dating my sister-in-law's cousin
but we have no blood relation, only by their marriage.
but my ex-boyfriend keeps telling me its illegal and disgusting.
And that if we get married, the law will restrict us from it.

Nothing can stop people from dating (aside from statutory rape laws for people underage... or parents).
Marriage is more restricted. But most states count the distance in blood relations. If the boy is her sister-in-law's cousin, but not her cousin, then the relation is only by marriage not blood and there is no restriction.

In all US states, it's illegal for brother and sister to marry. In some states, first cousins cannot marry either. But beyond that, there are no restrictions.

My mother cousin married my fathers brother. Even by marriage, the situation you describe sounds more distant than that. For purposes of laws regarding who can marry, relation by marriage is not considered.
coragryph: Statutory rape laws NEVER prohibit dating. The only prohibit sexual relations. If you don't know the difference, you are not ready for either.

No. There's no blood relation. Therefore it's not incest. It's perfectly legal and moral too.
