"How could a fine young man like Iverson be involved with beating a man unconscious?"
Easily. Which is unfortunate but true.
His feeble reputation will always come back at him with a vengeance and always make him an easy target for both law enforcement and the neanderthals who incessantly file lawsuits against him alike. It doesn't seem like a year has gone by where something like this hasn't happened.
He deals with this kind of crap on such a constant basis that I've come to expect it.

I don't know. He hasn't been convicted yet. But if I were AI and that accusation was false, I might be willing to pay him up to 10 thousand to make him go away.
Celebrities should stay away from bars. Bars are the mother lode of gold-diggers. Most of the people who go to bars methodically are people who flunked high school, never got into college, have minumum wage jobs, and take advantage of celebrities.
It's interesting how trials involving ordinary people always culminate in an acquittal/conviction from the jury, while celebrity trials always end up with the prosecution dropping the criminal case and going after financial compensation.
It will always be a big debate whether a). Celebrities always commit crimes and get away with them, or b). People always falsely accuse celebrities of crimes and get huge civil suits.
I do find in interesting how in every celebrity scandal that has ever broken out, the accuser is always someone who has something fishy in their background.

People just look at AI and assume he's a punk just cuz how he is dressed and how he acts so they look for opportunities to penalize him anyway possible. Someone associated with him was involved in a fight, so he gets blamed because he is portrayed a punk by the common man (or people who don't know much about basketball) and because he has money.
