if there is nothing then how does something come in? what im trying to say is how did space start with nothing then something came out. The big bang says something exploded but then again there was nothing so how did something come out of nothing?it might be confusing you just got to think...

The word "explosion" is used as an analogy. What makes it difficult to perceive is that we normally see explosions from the outside.

In the case of the universe, we are inside, moving along with all the matter and energy that is "exploding". There was nothing and, because of a local fluctuation, there was suddenly a singularity (volume = 0) with a content of energy (therefore, infinite density). This does not contradict anything because any quantity of energy in a volume of zero is still (mathematically) zero.

Of course, that is IF the big bang (as described) is true.

The only three things we know for sure are:
The Big Bang theory is the "least worst" of the ones we have.
The Theory will continue to be modified as we make more accurate observations, and
(thanking Jeffery K): we exist.

Big bang theory is not proved.

Scientists saw the galaxies are moving away from each other. They couldnot come out with some other explanation and the only thing they could think of is big bang.

Big bang theory is actually Anti-Science in nature. It is against the science and facts. It induces a crazy non realistic thinking.

They talk about big big things, dark energy, balloon theory, space is curved, space is finite, bla bla bla.

I do not think something can come from nothing. That happens with child hood fiction stories. In science it cannot happen. Science is a FACT not imagination or fiction or crazy ideas. It is reality.

Universe or space has to be infinite without beginning or end. It was always there. It will always be there.

Galaxies moving away from each other may be because some other reason our scientists still do not know.

Big bang theory is the craziest theory put forward by scientists. The biggest blunder by scientists. They are completely miscalculating something.

Our space scientists do not know still whether life existed in mars or not, they still haven't been able to visit another satellite or planet other than moon, they don't know whether water and life definitely present at titan/ saturn's satellite or not; they don't know what is after Pluto, whether any planets are there after Pluto, they still do not know what is a planet what is not a planet ( pluto was demoted recently ), they haven't been able to see a single extrasolar planet directly with telescope ( what they see now is by indirect methods ), but already they are convinced that Universe is finite - Isn't it crazy???? did they go to the edge of Universe??? Is it ever possible to explain if space ends what is after that??? You could explain only if you are psychiatric, a normal thinking can never explain how can space end, and if ends what is next?? all stupid explanations; space is curved, balloon theory etc; even a child will laugh at these theories.

I am not blaming our scientists. The Universe or Space is so vast it is beyond our imagination.

It is ridiculous to come out already with a decision about the size of Universe. They are already convinced Universe is finite. To try to prove that Universe is finite they come out with all crazy explanations.

To prove Universe is finite they are showing us Unreal Things as Real.

A finite system has nothing at each end.
The universe sprang from a finite potential some time after time zero.
A single space-time pulse of minimum size and duration the pulse continued, exploding outward and producing the universe we see to-day.
An incident that will return to an eternal state of nothing and never occur again.

We know that black holes have a singularity inside their event horizon. That is several stars compressed into a single point. It is likely that our universe started like that. Once gravity was compressed to a certain point, it stopped working as gravity and the universe began expanding. Once the universe was much less dense, gravity began to work normally again, gathering matter into galaxy clusters. How the universe actually came into being is a secret scientists and religious people are trying to work out in their own ways. It is very likely that it did NOT form out of nothing. Rather it began to change into what we see today.

Light is both a wave and a particle - how come?

Electrons circle the nucleus of the atom and flow within an electric current, but electrons cannot be pinpointed. try to do so and there is nothing there. How come?

The universe of octillions of tonnes of matter all emanated from a single point. How come?

These are all things that can be surmised from experiment or observation, but cannot be grasped by any human mind.

The point is nobody understands really what electricity is, yet our modern world runs on it. So, don't beat yourself up over something that nobody can wrap their minds around.

Scientists don't have all the answers (neither do philosophers or theologians either).
We don't know what started it all, science and theory can go back to about 10^-45 seconds after the Big Bang but not before.

I take a different view - whatever started it all rolling, its a glorious, mysterious, beautiful and exciting universe we live in, and there is a lot still to learn about what is here now.

Before the big bang occurred, hydrogen existed in huge amounts throughout known , and unknown space as we know it. Before the big bang happened, space was colder than it is now, without all the cosmic radiation that is out there right now. The primer is the coldness of space where hydrogen is condensing, waiting for the big bang shock wave. In this cold of space right before the big bang, hydrogen ,in huge amounts was condensing, and then the big bang occurred. The shock wave from the big bang headed off in all directions at the speed of light, and as the shock wave traveled, the wave disrupted pockets of hydrogen gas clouds in intergalactic space, and these clouds of hydrogen gas condensed to form new galaxies. This process is still taking place as the shock wave from the big bang is still racing out in all directions, and new galaxies are being formed.

Well, that's the ultimate question actually. Why is there anything instead of nothing? Why does the universe exist instead of not existing.

Science will probably never be able to answer this question. An answer isn't completely necessary though; the universe does exist and that's a good thing. If the question really, really bothers you however, seek religion.

Its a really weird to think of something so weird and cant really explain how something came out of nothing. And rather than go crazy and think up some philosophical theories its best to leave it as uncertain. I believe that God created the universe and that satisfies my doubts.

Well, look at the other question... particles falling into a black hole... where do they go? By definition, what's beyond the Event Horizon of a black hole is no longer in 'our' universe - so it must be in another universe. Maybe, just 'bursting out' of what people in THAT universe perceive to be 'nothing.'
