right just to let you know not all emos cut themselfs,not all emos are depressed an emo is somone who is into bands such as taking back sunday,from first to last and my chemical romance they will often wear skinny jeans and converse or vans they wear studded belts and alot of eyeliner they are like a new version of goth and rember dont believe what people say when they say somone who whines and cuts themselfs

emo stands for emotional. it's basicly the emotional side of gothic or goth for short. emo people listen to hard core metal music (screaming music) they also tend to cut their wrists. Not making fun of any emo person here just trying to describe it.
