some players aren't very muscualr and just don't feel comfotable without a shirtthe nba actually doesn't allow players to wear shirts anymore because it doesn't look right thats why players in college and high school stop wearing the shirt when they go pro the only time an nba player can wear one is for spcial purposes like to keep a heating pad in place if you have like a strained muscle or something

I have been told that players that sweat a lot usually wear a shirt under their jersey. The other reason that a player wears a shirt under their jersey is to hide the fact that the are not muscular.

If you have an injury, it helps cover bandages etc.. Or it looks real cool! Most are prob because of the cool look.
