none of the new games coming out are available for the original xbox anymore, why can't they just grasp the fact that not everyone wants to spend $300 every year when a new game system comes out? why can't they understand that some of us are fine with only having one game system and not wasting money to buy another one when our first one is perfectly fine? and yet we can't keep using our original one because all the games that come out that people want to play are not available to be played on the old xbox, the only way people can play those games is if they waste money to buy the new system which will become obsolete when the next version comes along!! why can't the new games be available to both the new and the old xbox and people can decide whether they want the new xbox or if they want to keep their old one???? how is it fair that we can get ripped off like this???

this is the way things work. as they get older, games aren't made. you think they make any new games for the PS1, or the SNES? no way. it had to stop sometime.

Basically, the original XBOX is out-dated. It's seen it's time and MicroSoft has got to find a way to fix it's current problems with the 360 and the 360 Elite. Many of the 1st gen XBOX games can be played on the 360 but not all of them and that's one of MicroSoft's downfalls. That might be one of the reason's why ppl are wasting more money to buy the newest version because they believe that it might play all the original XBOX games. Then, they come to find that it doesn't.
The PS3 is no different. Not all PS1 or PS2 games can be played on it either. And other ppl agree that it's no point to waste money on a console that doesn't play the original games. I don't blame them. But I do enjoy my PS3 right now. I have nothing against XBOX or those who enjoy playing it. But I believe no one should waste money on a system that has problems playing 1st gen or 2nd gen games on a new console.

Well the reason is that original xbox game sales are way down since the release of the 360. The sad thing is that Microsoft doesn't really care about the people who are asking about xbox games. They have enough money with the 360. And by stopping the selling of original xbox games is that eventually you will have to buy a 360. Which you should. Its just they way this industry is.

specific they have stopped making video games for xbox through fact the xbox 360 became a great hit and as the 360 can't play all xbox video games there became no think approximately making anymore video games for xbox. additionally alot of latest video games have come out on ps2 and different consoles like attempt stress endless, and that they did not make a version for xbox through fact fairly they made a version for 360 and that's info they have stopped making video games for xbox. i'm hoping this answer became effective

It's not really fair but think of it this way, if they stay with the old they'll be losing money because not as many people will buy it for an old system. People will buy it for a new system because they have the newer technology that the old doesn't.
So overall making a bunch of games for the older systems that not as many people would buy would lose money on it.

Because people like us are not in the main target audience for making a profit. Also, the new, multi platform games are meant for the next generation and the XBox can't handle as much. It's not fair that we get ripped, but that is consumerism.

The xbox is very similiar to a computer thats using Pentium 3/Celeron running at 733Mhz with 64mb ram.... It would be very hard to make games that would sell plus hardware limitations and just because M$ can do this.... It was high end back in 2001 but its worthless these days compared to a Computer that has faster hardware like PCI-E and Duo core cpu's. and GB's of Ram.

i'm assuming its because of the new xbox 360...and i agree with you on the not paying for a new system. i am completly fine with my regular xbox and it works just fine...i mean i still have my super nintendo that i play sometimes too. I was disappointed though when the new harry potter game did not come out for xbox...And i hate getting ripped off like this as well.

because its old and because everybody is gonna eventually get an xbox 360 so its like a waste of time to make just regular xbox games

Its to make you buy the new xbox so they can make money. if they make new games people would just stay with the old one.
