1. They are most often public employees, and Democrats typically favor expansion of the public sector (particularly in education, which is always popular with voters).

2.They work in the realm of ideas. They are inspired by theories of how the world and society works. Since the Democrats believe in a more active role for government in society, many educators will gravitate towards them as a means of implementing their pet theories.

Conversely, the Republicans usually take a "hands off" approach to society. It's hard to shape the world according to your ideas when the government doesn't do much, so the Republicans don't have much appeal to a lot of academics.

The educators in the US are following curriculum that is set, not in this country, but at a global education institute that sets doctrine for the US Department of Education. This swill is being pumped into other western countries as well.

Very few educators question this education policy and where it comes from. They want their paycheck and they want to go home. Also, educators are misled into thinking that they are challenging your preconceived notions of the world by presenting these global views when they are actually helping to indoctrinate students.

One of the primary goals of this curriculum is to destroy middle class thought, lifestyle, and economy. Research and learn--make your own decisions--don't ever allow anyone to think for you or your children, hold onto what you believe and cherish our democracy.

Democracy is never pretty or perfect, but it's the best form of government when it is respected and upheld. The two party system must remain intact. Globalism is no answer--

It's hard to imagine anyone being a Democrat, let alone teachers and professors. Unfortunately, the leftist mantra is preached to our young people (especially at the college level) were free exchange of ideas is touted but in reality if you want to pass, go with the prof's view.

Well, possibly because Democrats allegedly value knowledge and the free exchange of ideas, which would naturally lead them into education?

Or because they think teaching others is more important than making money?

Tommy B, Exactly! They never left school for the real world, so they think we're all out on the golf course counting our stock options, while they slave away at their 6 hour a day, 180 day a year (36 weeks) tenure protected government job. With no incentive, they never really grow up, hence, they're stuck on 'stupid'.

I wasn't aware that "most" are Democrats. I know they tend to be more liberal, but that in no way signifies an alignment with the neo-Liberal Democratic Party of today.

Because acquiring and sharing knowledge leads to understanding, which is the bedrock of Democracy.

Ignorance, the basis for the Republican view... is much easier to achieve. You simply go to work, collect a paycheck and settle for mediocrity in all other areas.

I think it has something to do with the unions or something? Teacher unions? I don't really know, but what I do know, some students need to stand up for what they believe in in these teachers' classes!
