do you like girls who like sports? I'm afraid that if I mention football infront of someone I don't know they'll just talk **** about how i'm a girl and don't know anything. So i only talk about it with my guy friends! What should I do?

look be yourself, if your in to sports that is just one more thing you and a guy can talk about. Personally I find it cool if a girl is in to sports.
PS I am die hard college football fan so if your a Buckeyes fan dont date a Michigan fan, or if your a gatar dont date a Florida ST fan. That could get ugly

I think a girl who likes football is cool. On a relationship level it's always good for two people to share a hobby or past time. I for one would love to be able to sit down and discuss football or be in a fantasy league with my girl. Anyone that tells you that you don't know anything cause your a girl tell them that they are sexist. Also take the time to learn an interesting football fact like who had the most TDs in 2004. Then everytime they say you don't know resond with well then smarty pants who was the top scorer in 04?

Do you know football? Just saying that most girls I know that talk about football, just talk about how their team is going to win, "just because"...Not trying to sound sexist, just realistic. If you talk like this, "Chad Johnson is going to have a lot of trouble today, he is up against Champ" That is certainly an intelligent football statement. If you talk like this, "The Patriots are just awesome and Tom Brady is gorgeous" Then pls keep this to yourself and your girlfriends.
Hopefully you are in the first category, of which I say, just try talking to someone and see how they react. It may be that you know more than the guy you are talking to, in which he may immaturely respond that you are just a girl and don't know anything...but he may say you have a good point. Won't know til you try.

Just be yourself and don't feel the need to have friends that like everything you like or vice versa. I'm not a football fan at all (much prefer baseball). My girlfriend likes football better, so we don't talk sports much (with each other), but we have lots of other things in common. (music, etc.). Have lots of friends and lots of different interests and don't try to be all things to someone or have someone be everything to you.

If it something you really love. Then talk about it all the time and who cares what your friends say. I like sporty girls. Thats the type of my girlfriend. So go ahead and express your love for the game. If you need help with any football questions e-mail me i know a lot,lol :)

krista... i too am a girl and i love football... and i dont just love lookin at the guys... i actully love the game itself and love players for there all around character and work ethic. i was born into a family of steelers fans so naturally i am diehard and i can sit all day and talk about football w. my dad and i used to feel the same way as you. my dad would be talking to a friend about the game(that i also watched) and i would just keep my mouth shut bc i didnt know if ppl thought it was weird that i liked football. now im at work and im talking to the guys about football and they're kinda shocked that i kno so much... but i think they respect the fact that im a true fan. my girlfriends think im crazy tho bc my car is steelers covered and i have jerseys and tshirts and autographs and i love to talk about football, i tell them dont call me sunday.... football is on... and thats what i do.... church and then football the rest of the day and mondaynight!! i cant wiat to do the fantasy league on nfl.com and my dad does a pool every year.... he asks me my opinion... i like it.. i love it!! As long as you can sound informed (like not calling a "touchdown" a "homerun" or "goal") you should do just fine. Most guys would die to have a girlfriend or girl friend that is into football. Those that say no are probably too drunk to even stand up straight.

Anyone who is going to make a snap judgement about you because you are a woman who likes football is an idiot and there opinion is not worth listening to. If there is a conversation about the game and you have something to say pipe up and say whats on your mind, it will attract male football fans to you.

In my own opinion, i would love to have a conversation with a girl who loves football. If you're afraid that guys will talk smack to you, then read some football magazines, read on yahoo nfl, go to nfl.com, learn more about your team, etc... If you can hold a discussion with a guy, they will respect you for it.

Don't be afraid...guys, including me would like it if a girl just like you knows something about sports...it shows that you're kind of tough and not the "girly-girl" type ya' know...
Let's say you live in Oakland...
You can talk about how can Raiders be improved and who should they get from other teams...Is Randy Moss helping...does Raiders need better defense...something like that...
