my son is 7 weeks old. he was doing the same thing. does he spit up alot? if so it could be acid reflux. My doctor switched me to nutramigen. and prescribed me zantac. he still gets fussy but not like he was.. if he enjoys baths try giving him a bath then a bottle then swaddle him (this really really works well for me when he'd be crying and crying) really tight with his arms in and everything. i'm sure your willing to try anything... good luck

Is it a new behavior? Or something going on for a while? If occuring every day could be colic, if constipation you can give baby a few teaspoons of pear juice. My daughter was constipated at 2 months and I spoke to the pediatrician and she said pear juice works the same as prune juice but it is sweeter and clear so not as messy. She told me it is actually the sugar in it that gets things moving. They sell little bottles of it in the baby food aisle. I gave it to her 2 days in a row and on the third oh my did it work. Good luck! Also could be gas, rub his belly in a backwards C around his belly button and also if you move their little legs like a bicycle you can actually get the gas out. Hope you figure it out, if only they could tell us what was wrong!

To tell if your baby is constipated, look for the following signs:

* In a newborn, firm stools less than once a day with straining and difficulty passing them
* Dry, hard stools and pain on passing them
* Hard, pebble-like stools passed by a baby who strains during a bowel movement, drawing her legs up on her abdomen, grunting, and getting red-faced
* Streaks of blood along the outside of the stool
* Abdominal discomfort along with hard, infrequent stools

First thought is that it's gas - bloated stomach - mylicon should take care of that.
But he could be constipated - if he is straining to do a do, put a 1 gram glycerin suppository in him and it'll all come out in minutrs.

First you need to stay focused on school.... your mom had the baby and she can take care of it. But to answer your question.... I would try the lap thing thing and if that does not work try holding him with his head on your sholuder and bounce a little bit. That seems to work for me. I wish you the best and keep your head in school.

take him to the doctors... if you cant do that then try rubbing his belly. if hes constipated that might help. try some gas drops too. you might need a prescription for those though. but my first suggestion is taking him to the doctors as soon as you can.

The baby could be colic? The baby could have gas. Try gently massaging the baby stomach.

What kind of sound is your baby making? If it's an "eh, eh" sound she probably needs to burp. A study has been done on that language of babies and it has worked for my 5 week old. Hopefully, your little one doesn't have colic.

take his temp, check his mouth for sores, and see if he is tryin to pull on his ears, you could also try burping him. If all seems normal then turn him around and try scrunching his legs into his abdomen (gently of course!!) and walk around. This helps relief gas pressure on his lil tummy. Please remember patience and that sometimes kids just cry

If you've exhausted all the obvious, take him to the doctor. He may be suffering allergies. In general though, babies do cry a lot, it's what they do best, lol :)
