It is the vocabulary and language of business, and the theories and laws that go with it. You do have to know something about the topic and its vocabulary before writing in a field.

business writing is not overly "flowery with adjectives, euphemisms, etc." It is a more formal document (ex. a contract vs. a letter to the editor) with a more serious intent.
