Normal AA and AAA batteries of the like, nothing. 9 volt batteries, it'll give you a little shock. I used to have friends in high school that liked to lick 9 volts haha.

lol. Nothing much happens, but you do feel a small tingling feeling on your tongue. That would be a small spark. When I was little I loved to feel the spark on my tongue so I often liked batteries. I don't know anybody who was gotten hurt from licking a battery. I made sure the battery wasn't leaking cause common sense licking it would be dangerous. The stronger or powerful the battery is the shock will kinda...shock you more.(I don't know how to explain that part to you so I explained it horribly!). Good question though.

once you lick a great D battery end it feels chilly and in basic terms uncomfortable. Its no longer like it shocks you so undesirable that your hair sticks up. i think of it in basic terms feels weird and wonderful and that i hate doing it

I might add that if you wet your lips and touch both ends of any battery, AA, AAA, C or D (if you can get a D in your mouth!) those will zap you too.

Nothing unless its a 9 volt then you get a little zilch. You have to complete the circuit.

well, if it has a leak, your not in good shape, the acid inside burns ALOT. (trust me). but if its not plugged in and is compleatly intact, i dont think anything will happen to you.
