I'M FROM THE SOUTH AND IT IS ANNOYING, IT TAKES ALL DAY FOR A SOUTHERN PERSON TO COMPLETED A SENTENCE...

MY EX-BOYFRIEND ( WHITE GUY) WAS A TRUE REDNECK, TRAILOR PARK, FARM ANIMAL AND ALL....

It depends. A boy with a southern accent is cute and a girl as well but it really depends. Like George Bush, I wanna shoot him regardless of the accent.

Plus its not sloppy english, people have accents. I'm from the Northeast and many sourtherns think we sound as horrible as the other way around. So there is no room to discriminate and think your any better in your speech. People in England hate the way we talk as well.

Guess what? Northern accents, California accents and Eastern accents grate on my nerves.
I love southern accents, except for that one lady on the nutrisystem commercial who says "Iths tho thimple".

I have lived down south for seven years and still cant seem to tolerate that accent. I am from New York I hate New York accents (I know that is weird). I think any really strong distinctive accent is annoying, or maybe it's just me.

Hmmmm... Reminds me of the horrible attempts at the accent on "Varsity Blues".

that's not nice, i have a southern drawl, and i can't really help it. i've lived in mississippi my whole life, and it's just the way i talk. and i am never gonna change it for anyone, it's apart of who i am. actually people down here hate the way yankees talk also. i guess it just really depends on where you live.
