Remember that the DMV guy is not your friend. He will try to trip you up by possily sounding very pushy. He will most likely order to you change lanes or make a turn in a very stern tone and at the last minute. He'll do that with the hope that you'll be stressed out and make the mistake of changing lane without using your turn signals and looking in the mirrors and the side windows first.
Just be aware of everything you should do before performing a particular driving maneuver and THINK before you perform the particular maneuver. Don't let the DMV guy stress you out. Be in control. For example, if he tells you to make a right turn at the last minute, and you are in a center lane, brake to allow yourself distance to change lanes before reaching the intersection. Then put your turn signal on and look (through mirrors, windows, whatever) before making the lane change. If you can't do that, just don't change lane and don't make the turn. Tell the DMV guy that you feel he didn't give you enough warning time for you to perform the maneuver safely. Then say, you hope he won't take offense, that it's nothing personal. Explain that you would react the same way with anyone who asked you to perform a maneuver that you felt wasn't safe because the request came too late.
I took my driving test 40 years ago, and that's what the DMV guy did to me, and I let him stress me out. After that first pushy order from him, I calmed down and was much more careful. Nonetheless, the first pushy order cost me 20 points. My score for the test ended up being 80 instead of 100. Learn from my mistake. Hope you get 100. But if not, you can still pass. I did.
Good luck.

Keep your eyes ont the road and ignore the DMV guy. Overact a bit when you check your mirrors and looking for traffic. Just be calm and ignore the examiner for the most part. Anxiety could cause you to miss something. RELAX. Good luck.

i just took my road test today and like everyone said, the best thing to do is relax. Just pretend you're driving on your own to relieve some of the pressure. Some minor tips would be to adjust the seat and mirrors even if they seem good to you. If you're stopping behind a car infront of you, stop enough so that you can see the car's backlights to assure there's enough space.

Relax. The most important thing you can do is to appear relaxed and totally in control. If you make a small mistake but don't get flustered, and then correct yourself, the chances are they won't mark against you. Just appear relaxed.
After all, what's the words that could happen? They let you take it again in a month? No worries.

Obey the speed limits (try to drive a little under if you can), be calm, and leave plenty of time for turns. Stop at red lights before turning right, and don't freak out. Stay calm, and you will be fine. Good luck!

Stay calm. Do everything correctly, and explain what you are doing if it is not obvious--like checking the mirrors before starting out.

yeah I think you lose alot of points when they think you didn't check something, if you explain what your doing at least they hear you say your checking for traffic etc. or that you had to pull up to see traffic etc.
