I found these baby bunnies in our garden, there were 3 and my dad said he saw the mama and babies scamper off but I went outside later and saw one little bunny still all alone in our garden. Has this one been forgotten or lost? I don't want it to die. I can tell it is probably old enough not to need milk anymore. Should I do something or leave it alone?

Leave it alone, mama rabbits can leave thier young for hours looking for food, if you try to help the baby, you would be killing it.Baby bunnies do not thrive without thier mothers, you cannot help this baby.Leave it alone.

Leave him alone. A lot of people often make the mistake of thinking baby bunnies are abandoned when they aren't. His mama will more than likely be back for him. And if he's old enough to be on his own, then he should be fine. Since you don't know for sure what's going on, it's probably best just to leave him be.

Leave it there. Wild bunny babies mature very quickly, and can eat on their own at 4-5 weeks old. My rehabber friend said if they are the size of a lemon, with fur and open eyes, they are fine to leave alone. The mother bunny only returns to the nest once a day in the morning to nurse the kits, she does not stay near them.

dd is correct. a baby could die without it's mother. but it is possible to raise one in captivity. bunnies do best with other bunnies. an animal rescue center would be the best option. i have raised many rabbits from birth..three were wild. ps you could leave out some very cold water for the bunny. Water.

Leave it alone. U shouldnt interfere with the natural course of things. Mom left that little one by itself because she knew something was wrong with it. Thats the only reason she would abandon it (unless someone handled it barehanded and left their scent on him). Either way U should leave it alone. Cruel but its for the best.

You leave it alone.

If you were to take this rabbit, it would die from a stress related heart attack before it reaches sexual maturity. Wild rabbits cannot survive in captivity.

Hurry! You have to call animal control! If they are abandoned, they'll die within 2 days!
